Carpet Cleaning

At Steaming Hot Carpet Cleaning, we understand the many varieties and materials that constitute the modern carpet. The Steaming Hot Carpet System was designed to first evaluate your carpet and environment to ensure the proper chemical, heat, and technique is used to ensure maximum cleanliness without over-wetting, damaging or shrinking your carpet. The Steaming Hot Carpet System uses ITI approved techniques to first test your carpet material, and then uses top quality imported US and local chemicals to clean your carpet in the most efficient and effective manner.

The Steaming Hot Carpet System

Step 1: Pre-Inspection

Pre-Inspection PhotoA qualified technician will arrive and do a pre inspection of your property. During this inspection, he will inform you of the duration of the clean, the expected drying time and also evaluate any pre-existing stains. Every Steaming Hot Carpet Cleaning team is equipped with a wide variety of Spotters (chemicals used to remove stains), and are very effective in removing a wide variety of stains (ie pet urine, food stains, dirt build up and a host of others). In the case of pre existing damage or stains that cannot be removed, the customer will be advised.

Step 2: The Carpet Test

The Carpet TestIn order to determine the optimal chemical solution, the technician will perform a small chemical test on a piece of loose carpet fibre or carpet fluff. This test is in no way damaging or invasive to your carpet, but its results will tell the technician the exact chemical to utilize for the cleaning process

Step 3: Preparing the Cleaning Area

Preparing the Cleaning AreaThe technician will ensure that the areas to be cleaned are accessible and that there is no danger to furniture or other fixtures. If there is anything that needs to be moved or repositioned, it will be moved.

Step 4: Spotting

SpottingA technician will carefully examine any problem areas on your floor or carpet and treat it with an appropriate chemical solution depending on the nature of the stain or blemish. If the stain is amenable to removal, it will be removed. The spotting process can involve multiple applications, but is guaranteed not harm your carpet in any way, including discolouration.

Step 5: Prespray

PresprayDepending on the level of soil, the technician will perform a chemical prespray, to allow the chemical time to react with the soils in the carpet and maximize the cleanliness of the carpet. This prespray is the method by which cleaning chemcials are introduced into the carpet and is an important reagent to break down dirt and soil so that it can be removed by hot water extraction.

Step 6: Agitation

AgitationTo blend the chemical prespray into your carpet fibres and increase the rate of reaction, a scrubber is used next. The scrubber uses soft pads to agitate carpet fibres and decrease the amount of dwell time so that your carpet can be cleaned faster and more effectively.

Step 7: Hot Water Extraction

Hot Water ExtractionThe technician will then use a hot water extraction machine at high pressure to clean the carpet. Hot water extraction is the ideal cleaning technique because the a hot water and chemical mixture is forced through the carpet fibres at high pressure, dissolving and dislodging the soil held by the fibre before being sucked away by a powerful vacuum. Qualified Steaming Hot Carpet Cleaning technicians will perform the hot water extraction on your carpet as many times as required to ensure a high quality end result.

Step 8: Deodourise and Sanitise

Deodourise and SanitiseAdditionally, at this stage deodouriser and sanitiser is applied through a prespray to make sure your carpet has both free from bacteria and odour free.

Step 9: Carpet Guard

Sanitise and DeodoriseAfter your carpet has been cleaned you may wish to apply a carpet guard. These guards protect the carpet fibres from absorbing spills and other soils. Applying a guard will increase the life of your carpet as well as decrease the amount of maintenance. As with all products used by Steaming Hot Carpet Cleaning, carpet guards are of the highest quality and completely safe.

Step 10: Drying and Restoring Cleaned Areas

Drying Carpet PhotoDepending on the level of wetness, temperature and other environmental factors, the technician will place airmovers around the cleaned area. Airmovers are high speed commercial fans that blow air across the surface of the carpet and greatly aid the drying process. The technician will also groom the carpet with a carpet groomer and restore the area to its original condition.

Step 11: Final Inspection

Final Inspection PhotoThe technician will do a final inspection of the cleaned area to ensure all carpet have been properly cleaned and treated. Customers are provided with a final inspection report.
